Daiwa Spinmatic 7-6

I run with downriggers most of the time using 8' Canons rating 8-15lb conventional trolling rods these last few years but would like to go more of a lighter weight rod. I hear some folks use the Spinmatic 7-6' for trolling, just want to get some feedback from the folks who like the rod for trolling, and if the rod loads up pretty good and what size line they like to use with the rod. Thanks.
