Today was the third and final day of the Martin Luther King Jr Tournament held under extremley beautiful conditions at Irvine Lake. These past three days are what tournament fishing at Irvine are all about big fish and fun! We started a new tradition of sort here at the lake during this tournament by holding a kids rafffle and I think that was a homerun amongst the crowd. The fishing could not be any better with a 5+ fish needed on day one, a four pounder day two, and a allmost 4+lb fish today. Today had two fish over seven pounds checked in.
Now to the results:

Rachel Larose of New Mexico takes first place honors trolling a CD07 Rapala firetiger. Rachel was literally running to the scales with her fish and checked in at 2:00pm on the dot. The very last weigh in of the day. She had no clue what she just caught and where it would put her. After the weigh in I asked her where she would be in April and her reply was "Looks like I might have to plan a vacation!"
