I want to put new line on my trout reels. I'd like to try xxx Izorline. Does Bass Pro sell it? I looked on their web site and they don't show it. Turners maybe?

Even better, going right by Bass Pro on Sat. I'll stop in. Turners would have been out of my way. Thanks

The Longfin on Chapman Ave. in Orange carries Izorline, I use the XXX 2#, it is great for trout, actually breaks at more like 3 to 3.5#, depending on how good your knots are. I use the 4# for most of my spinning rod bass fishing.

A couple weeks ago, I bought the 3000 yard spool of 2 lb. Izorline XXX at BPS, and have been pretty satisfied with it. However, today I bought a 300 yard spool of 2 lb. P-Line CXX X-tra Strong Monofilament, which is .001" thinner than the Izorline. I'm going to give it a try tomorrow, and will report back.

Since I didn't get down to Bass Pro like I had planned last Saturday, I still need to pick up some line. Vortec, let us know how the P-Line works out for you.

I put 2 lb CXX P-Line on two of my reels - Symetre 750 on 7'9" IronFeather & Sustain 1000FE on 8'6" Elixir. It is noticeably thinner than the 2 lb. Izorine XXX, and also easier to get loops on the spool. I do like the P-Line better than the Izorline, but find that I have to pay more attention to spool loops.

just a suggestion.have you thought of loading your reel with 2lb dia.8lb rated crystal fire line.i have it on my bass drop shot setup ,and heartland 8ft noodle rod, and 750 reel.cast a mile.unbelievle feel, and last forever.use 8ft of floroclear 2lb.for ultra lite.use a surgens knot, with 3 turns to attach the floroclear or your preferred mono leader.just a suggestion.if you dont like braid id suggest floro clear...

I bought Izor 2 # clear mono ... 6000 yards for 10 bucks, at Charkbait in Hunt. Beach. It's the only 2# I use, and it will only break if I've got the drag set too tight. Check them out for your line needs.
