The big fish went on the chew today. With lots more lost than caught due to too tight of drags, crossed lines and bad breaks. But some of the big boys where landed in some convential and some not so much. But with the stocking of trophies last week and again this week the tournament this weekend should be one for the ages. We stocked again today with 1,000lb of fish in the 10-20lb class! The fish where greeted with cheers and ohs and ahh's from the customers that showed up today. Some of the fish could barely come through the tube. The grade of fish in the trophy tank was nothing short of amazing. I dont want to take away form our patrons that managed to subdue some of the beasts so here they are.
Checking in with a 13.0lb Rainbow Trout taken from boat dock cove is Sam Tagaloa from Orange. Sam was jigging a mini jig right by the boat dock. Congratulations Sam!

Now for the not so convientnal. Jiang Chun from China checks in this 10.6lb Rainbow Trout taken on of all things a Sabiki rig. Jian was fishing with 15lb test line a 1 1/4oz pier sinker clipped to the Sabiki rig and his reel malfuntioned. He was able to hand line the beast all the way to shore where Bruce Watson netted it for him. Before anybody can say anything he was hooked on the very last hook in the mouth! It was that good today!
