One of my best friends Joe is getting married August 24th so we got all the boys together for some good times and Fishing. Charter the tide change w/ 25 guys ready for fun, the boat itself is pretty nice layout, but the crew is sumed up in the other report"WOW".
Got to Catalina to make squid witch was pretty tough due to the amount of dogs just busting em up the second u would see them. Ended up making maybe 200 pieces by 3:30am so off to Clemente we go in Hopes of some Yellow action.
I wake at 5:30 am and captn says we are 30 minutes out so I give the wake yell to get out of bed. Pull up to the kelp on the west end for little to no action, work our way about 1/2 way around the backside making 3 or 4 stops for a few Calicos and a couple of sheephead.
About noon I let the Captn know that we are less interested in finding a couple of bass or maybe a yellow, than we are in making this a fun trip so lets go get some rockfish. About 5 guys had never fished and about 5 more are really green so a good time for all was much more important than one or two fish.
He is willing to go with it so in the last 2 hours we put close to limits of some good Quality Rockfish on the boat for all to have some TACOs and good grill'n fish. Included was a great fish, a 14 pound Jackpot Sheephead that Pat hand lined all the way cause he got in a nasty tangle right at the start. Damn thoose American Indians are tough, great fish Pat.
4 nice Ling Cods that were 11-13.999 pounds, the big Ling had a 1 pound opal eye in his gut. about 20 reds in the 5 pound class. and a list of Misc Rockfish.
All in All a good day of fishing for a great bunch of guys.

The Incredible sunset on the way into Port that topped off a great day on the water with the boys.

Joe congrats on the wedding and to his wife Arin make sure you know that this isn't the last trip he gets to go on.
