Or what was left of it...it broke,
Took my son out for the first time in the new year for some striper fishing.
The wind was ripping north east with gusts around 25 and better, so the run across to center point was a wet one for me, I told Jr that his turn will come on the way back, and it did, worst then what I got going across.
We tossed swim baits for around a hour back at the current line the wind was making a current brake at center point but no love
So we headed back to Elderberry to soak some fresh dines, the wind was gusting pretty good still, no current so it didn't take much weight to get down to the bottom.
We had about 2 hours to fish before we had to head out, the fish were there, I watched the fish come up on the sonar and hit the bait, pretty fun to watch on the graph.
Tried some blood worms to but they were biting the chunks so not much use in wasting the worms.
It's always a pleasure to fish with my son, he doesn't always go fishing so these times are great.
He got the first and the biggest, we ended up with 6 fish for taco's and some Sinigang soup.
The ride back was fine down the ski arm until we hit center point and started hitting the waves and the spray, he did get it worse then me...lol
dropped him off at the dock and made it back on the trailer with no problems, fun half day, glad a little wind didn't scare us away...
