Woke up at 3:30 and made our way down from victorville,headed for the turney.got to the lake at 5:00 , about a hunded cars in line .Already had plans of parking the car and walking in so we could get some good spots, had found out this is one of the best ways to get a good spot in these county turneys unless you want to wait in line the night before. So me and the fam made our way down to the middle lake and got ourselves a little peir.

Still dark and really foggy outside.

First hour didnt go as we expected,normally we would be slamming them for the first hour then the bite would die.this time the fish changed up on us and didnt bite for the first one to two hours , then after a little fine tuning my son honed in on them and it was ON!!!!!!

Even the wife got in on the action.

After catching a couple fish my son hooks into a decent sizer. Its pelling drag for around 5 min then he gets it up to me and i get it in the net.

final weight came in at 4.10 ,good enough for sixth at that point but it was still early in the day.

went the rest of the day catching average size trout 1-2 ponders.

Around 11 managed to get over the hump , and got an 2.8 pound trout.A little above average,hopfully itll place.

At around twelve my son hooks into another good one ,its staying down and pulling hard.We are thinking its bigger than his first.After tangling lines and running down the bank it finally shows itself and one of our FNN family members goes a little in and nets it since he was wearing waders. Ended up being 3.2 pounds ,enough to place again.:Twisted:

Everyone in the fam scraped out a few,and overall it was a good day.:Envious:

I won 4 tickets to minuture golf , but traded another winner for there reel instead.

He won a nice variety pack of lip ripperz and some 12lb maxima line,and a nice snap-on kit.

Day went well overall , glad we didnt have to throw any snaggers in the water:Twisted:

Very nice report and congrats on some nice catches. Also a thumbs up to ghetto fisherman's for letting his son do better than him in the tourney yesterday. I'm sure that was tough, but you did the right thing.
