Been a few days since I fished. Would have been a few more because I am just about to leave to go out of town until Sunday. Had an hour to kill and had the duct fever so off I went to one spot. After a few cast with my new Caenan reel and 8'6" Cabelas's Fish Eagle II rod using a Cabela's jig head with an underspin blade rigged with a soft jerkbait I get hit and hook up. Water is not ripping but it is down about 6' and moving pretty good still. Get it to the edge and have no choice but to slide it up the side because the water was so low and exposed slime was several feet plus there was some frost on the cement. It's a very chunky unit. I take a quick pic and walk down about 30 yards with it to release it.

Go back to cast and on the first cast I get bit and I hook up a 2nd one. Same deal. I work it to the same landing spot as the first one and drag it up. Number two is mine. Take a quick pic and walk down 40 yards to release it. Keep casting for another 10 minutes but nothing else there.

Water is still stained because at this low level you would normally see bottom. Maybe they are starting to drain it again for the mid Jan scheduled work?

2 fish trails of being dragged up just in case no one believes I got 2 :Big Grin:

You caught as many in one session as I caught all last year. LOL
I might get to the AV to fish Friday. I'm on a mission to catch at least 3 this year:Smile:
Maybe we can fish again when you get back.

I'm gonna head down tomorrow, if you see a Murdered, Blacked Out, Chevy Silverado with a Black Camper Shell be sure to say HI.

Here's a picture of it. Of course with the weather lately it wont be that clean, HA!

i talked to a DWR worker today @ Johnson. he said they're doing some repairs down stream, and that the water won't get any lower. he estimated it would be back to normal in about a week
