Good afternoon anglers!

After doing a quick check with some of our Tuesday Fishing Anglers- I came across these guys catching all along the west shore and along the old boat dock rental spot side.

Here's Mike Savoia and Mike Newkirk from Lawndale showing their early 5 fish count weighing in at 11.7lbs. Their bait of choice...the ole' Nightcrawlers combined with marshmallow

Eduardo Tsuneshige of Irvine landed this Steelhead weighing in at 3lbs, using a Power Mouse off the boat docks- As I was taking his photo, his other rod got nailed by another fish!

Primo Bautista shows his 4.2 Trout caught using an inflated Nightcrawler at the Marina/Bridge Dockhttp://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/i323/Irvine_Lake/kewly3-1.jpg

**With the warmer/sunny weather on the horizon for the next week...the Trout, Bass, Catfish, Crappie bite will get better!

What's up with the DEAD LMB? I thought it was catch and release ONLY......

sounds like he caught it close to shore, maybe they ran up, got a pic, and put it back in the water?

I've been wondering the same thing...Not sure why I've been seeing so many photos of LMB so far from the water.

I do want to say it was a nice report and pics though!

I would bet that it came out of a livewell from a boat parked right next to the tackle shop, then put right back in the lake. I know this because i've done it there. As long as it lives and makes it back in the lake, there are ways to do it correctly, which i'm sure was the case here. If they can live in a bag for weigh in at a tourney, they can make it a few feet back to the water :)

Water still looks murky, but hard to see. Any word on what it really looks like?

ALL the Bass.. LMB, and Wipers are C&R ONLY at Irvine Lake, as posted up above on the "stickies". Unfortunately this one did not make it, as the lure damaged its gills to where it didn't survive when trying to release.

I fished the lake yesterday. That bass was floating around dead in the middle of the flats not caught on a crank. And I did get a limit yesterday. Nightcrawlers.

might have been caught deep and needed to be fizzed ?
