Puddingstone carp are back in full force

I showed up at the Pudd ... no license ..no rod.. no intention to fish ... Luckily Mike and Rob were there at Eastshore fishing for carp. Not too soon after i arrived Rob got the first hook up and FISH ON . About an hour later after casting out Rob's pole had FISH ON ... line stripping and spools heating up on 4lb test ....

All fish CAUGHT AND RELEASED

NO FISH TAKEN ON FLY ROD TODAY

freakin rob ive been fishing that spot for over a week .missing a total of 3 hits.like last year, rob shows up rigs up.vivid shows up .were talking about the 6lb ,bass. vivid got on his 2wt fly rod a few weeks ago.then robs pole goes ballestic, and rob is on. this fish just turned sideways during the whole fight, which took about 20 min. robs rig was a new g loomis ultre lite about 7ft 6inch. with a 1000 spooled with 4lb cxx p-line.after that, i was telling vivid (actully) whining. only rob could show up like last year, and get one that quick.he cast somemore corn and rob says watch my rod ,as he goes to due some buissness. as soon as he gets to the facilty. his rod bends in half. i grab the rod ,and fight is on.this fish took about half the spool, before i got him to turn.i didnt hold the second fish in the pic.cause i didnt want to get all slimmy.tommororw we will be out there ,and the pmb will get revenge.using my 8wt heavy action fly setup, with corn.ive been using 8lb floro clear. rob was using 4lb. im going to switch to 4lb floro clear tommorow.if rob gets one before i do.ive caught them last year on 4lb but its pretty hairy .if there over 12lbs.we had a blast today, and cant wait for tommorow.thanks for the pictures vivid....god bless and peace out...... mike the pmb......

WOW nice! Time to break out the bowfishing gear. Use to bowfish for them back in PA. They would get up to 30 lbs or more. Now the water there is polluted from gas well drilling killed off most of the fish.
