How about this snow were getting, pretty cool. I took the kids to see it for the first time in Valencia right off of Calgrove exit on the 5. It's about 10 mins from the house. Better than driving a few hours. Just got home. Anyways just wanted to drop a line, peace out.

We're getting a ton on snow in the local mountains. Two feet in the front yard. Mountain roads are now closed to locals only with chains and ID. I'd stay out of the locals as it is a packed zoo with people sliding into everything and one another. Can't wait for spring and summer.

My brother went out to Gorman on Saturday to do some off roading with his buddies. They were supposed to come back on Sunday but are still out there. LOL they got snowed in and freeways are closed!

Cool pics.
My daughter's Jeep Cherokee OVERHEATED the other morning at Mammoth.
She said it was in the Teens. She is running 50/50 :Beat Stick:

Should have straight Anti Freeze ? Radiator Froze ? Stuck T-stat ?

Anybody have a good, trusting mechanic up there ?

I told her to put a 120 volt electric heater under her motor to thaw it out.

Overheats in 15 degrees with 15' of Snow

The family and myself are headed up to Big Bear tomorrow morning for a few days of skiing and snow boarding.
The weather channel says sunny skies for the next 10 days...: )

Maybe overheating cause driving slow and fan is not kicking in? As crazy as it sounds, tell her to put the A/C on as that will kick the fan on automatically. That will cool the radiator when driving slow, in traffic, etc. My Ford does this and will heat up in traffic even if it's freezing outside. No air flowing over the radiator because a fan relay is burnt out and won't kick the fan on when the radiator gets hot. The A/C will bypass that and turn the fan on and flow air over the radiator and keep things cool. Worth a try. Oh you can turn the heat on full blast to to keep things warm.

She is driving 2 miles to work. I don't think it has time to get the radiator hot.
