Hi klocked,

If the mast of that boat (abandoned) is aluminum, I'll bet it's worth a little ca$h, itself or for just the metal scrap.

Nice goin' on the fishys.

Looks like we had better start having a 30" butt banquet each year Arthur! Kinda like the 200# club on the Royal Polaris. I waiting for TO to rig up the U rig with LC's and cast away next to us. And Mike, your 40 now? lol. Can't keep the winger down, even after the new years party! Must have somethin to do with being ambidexterous I think. Good going guys, and see ya at the next assault. Ex

John, thank you for graciously accepting my invitation to the S.W.A.T. Crew.
Great first S.W.A.T. mission for you and Frank (iLLest). My goal, as well as Mike's goal yesterday was to put you guys on fish and make sure that you guys had a successful mission. We were happy just fishing behind you guys all day seeing to the joint success of our newest S.W.A.T. members.
Congrats on the TWO legal Flatties and kudos for the release... you guys fished circles around me yesterday.

John and Frank,

Congrats on your day out there with the Swat Brass on Day 1 of 3 New Years Weekend SWAT Missions! Looks like it is off to a great start!

Both of you showed that you are worthy Swat Team members with your opening day stats! And the fact that you were considerate to leave some leftover pancakes for Mike and Arthur was very generous of you guys!

Arthur & Mike are very good at making the newcomers have a sucessful day, that is always thier priority from my experiences!!

Thanks for the report!

If the mast of that boat (abandoned) is aluminum, I'll bet it's worth a little ca$h, itself or for just the metal scrap.

Nice goin' on the fishys.

Thanks Ron, the mast probably is made of aluminum but the biggest challenge would have been getting it back up top, even if cut into pieces, it would have been a challenge

Arthur, I had a blast!! Can't wait to do it again buddy!
As for that pole dippin' retrieve:LOL:.... my theory is... the lower the pole is to the sand, the faster it gets down to the level a hali can see it. It worked on the 1st legal that day that happened to be in deeper water at that spot. heheheh, just trying different things:LOL:

Klocked,

What an awesome post and congratulations to all of you on some fine fish!

About the lip ripping... that halibut was already injured before Frank caught it.
Good luck to you with your future halibut hunting missions. Remember to stay optimistic and cover all of the water within casting distance. Spend extra time around boiler rocks.
