Bluehunter new boat.

Got me a new boat. Pretty cool for a first timer for now. It will do the job for now. Its a G3 v170 05 model. Adding some rod holders and other features to it this weekend. Has a lowrance 334c fishfinder plus a x50 fishfinder on the front. 75hpw yamaha 4 stroke motor as well. Its a 17 footer. Also came with a downrigger thats not attached. Got it from Aim Marine in Lakeside - San Diego area. No name yet but will have one by next weekend when I put it on the water. Will add a bimini top next month so any advise on some good places let me know.

Blue your new rig is the shizzle..On the bimini...just do it yourself..Real easy I did mine...saved over 300..the shop wanted 450, paid 120 for it and installed it in a couple of hours.. only 12 screws to drill on the boat...,,bbf

Hey Brian,
The new boat looks sweet. The fish are really in trouble now. I will check it out next Sat. at the vine. Due to some issues I was not able to make the river trip this weekend. I did go out to the Vine and found a productive spot on Friday night. I pulled fish all night long. Nothing big but I did manage a 12lb channel. I had a nice run on a mack head but came up empty. The vine was cool but I was bummed not to get a shot at a 20 plus flat.

BBF I just may look into that and see if I can do the top myself or have someone help me. That is quite expensive. On of the reasons why my fishing been cut short lately is because of purchasing the boat, but its a good sacrifice in the long run.

I agree with BBF. Get one and just install it urself. Check out other boats, it really isn't that hard to do. Make sure you centerpunch all holes before drilling as the drill will put a nice scratch in the paint job....
