Hi k3vin_kim,

Thanks. Next 3 months are MINE. Let's see these skippers go fish Bass in 300 feet of water ! ha ha ha Sculpin don't even flourish in that depth of water locally ..... least that's my understanding.

Next year !!

You're 1 of the few people that I kno that if u were stranded out at sea by yourself and all u had was a rod/reel and a plastic - you would be able to sustain yourself until rescue. As a matter of fact, you'd probably gain weight from all the fish u catch with that 1 plastic.

Ron, thanks for the fantastic report. On my recent rockfishing trips, I brought along my "tinker toy", otherwise known as my bass rod and fished plastic...with a strip of squid, yes, but it produced. Maybe next rockfish season if the current allows, I'll try the straight plastic. Just not too many cod eager to bite the jig/shrimp fly combo, except for the half-bandeds which seem to me a little bigger than usual.

A question for you...what's your final tally on the plastics only specie count?

Hello Ron,
Nice final report for the year.
One thing, the right side of your reports lately have been cut off by about 3-5 letters.
Don't know if it's you or the website?!
Thank You for all the reports throughout the year,
Robert

Hi Jackpot Jimmy.

Thanks. My SW moo-moo talley this year was a mere 19 ! Gotta remember that's local L.B. / S. P. species (none Catalina caught) and no WSB or yellowtail. I'm sure I could have gone on a couple of Island trips and picked up a few more but ..... it's not so important that I would feel the need to 'buy' additional species. Next year, I'll be fishing the Duckling big-time so I expect more species.

Thanks for the great weekly reports this year and wish you the best for the 2011 season. Overall .... how many local species did you catch ..... I'm sure you've kept count !!
