If this was post rains lake is on it's way back up from being very low, actually within the next couple days it sould be back to normal pool and by the end of the week if I'm right should be above normal.

All lakes right now have been pounded by the storms and with Cleghorn also being closed (road is washed out and may not be repaired for a while) it's going to be a challenge for a while out at Silverwood, not that Silverwood isn't normally challenging. The fish are heading in a different direction so find um and you'll do great.

Were there any boats on the lake? Was thinking of going out before the 31st but last time lake was low and filled with driftwood knocked my transduer off.

Ok one more response then I give. LAKE IS BACK UP! It is almost normal as of yesterday Tuesday and will be normal probably today and above normal by the end of the week.

It is not EASY to walk the shoreline do to the multiple large channels that have been created by the runoff and running creeks, and with the road to Cleghorn being closed you would have to hike in to fish that area. Miller is probably the easiest, large area, to fish right now although it is on Adminitrative closing (not that they are enforcing this) to walk in fishing.

Boating is allowed but lot's of stuff floating so be extra carefull, I've seen lot's of logs and in Chemise large patches of floating debris.

Just trying to paint an acurate picture of lake conditions as of today, have fun and be careful out there.

Just for reference and thanks to whoever posted this link up recently. Easy to see what's going on with the water levels.

I was at the dam today. Seal is right. LOT'S of wood debris along the shore at the dam area. I was expecting low water but looked normal to me.( the graph I was looking at must not have been updated??)

yeah the water is rising! the trail down to cleghorn from the turnout is a pretty easy path to walk down to. The rain ran right down the path and widened it. I didnt have any luck in cleghorn....threw the swimbait for about an hour at boiling striper (maybe about 8 good boils close to shore) and fished the drop shot for one good "tick", no fish though :( I hiked back to the truck and went into the park and fished the marina for no luck either. I only got some good bites over by the docks on the swim beach. i used 4 four different worms and on each worm i got one nibble but the fishes never committed so i couldnt get a hook set. but it was a beautiful day out at the lake. the water was glassed over til about noon.
