12/23/2010 Corona Lake (morning)and SARL(evening)

Day after the rain someone decided they want to go out to Corona Lake to see if we could have a good time catching some trout. Got there around five am. Lots of people in line. At five thirty one of the staff from Corona comes out and tells us you can't fish here. You can't fish there. On and on. Some of the fisherman actually took his advice and went on home. Well we thought if we rent a boat we could fish pretty much fish anywhere choose to. And we did rent a pontoon for fifty dollars.

To make a long story short we all got skunked. All four of us. We left around one o'clock. Got home around three. Was resting good....

Then I receive a call from my buddy and he asked if I wanted to fish SARL. I told him I just finish Corona Lake. No good over there today. He says well I'm at El Poyo Loco next to the lake now. You probably sent a good amout of money already. I tell you what, I got you, he says. Well in that case see you in a few.

I get to SARL just in time. We were let in around five thirty. Went straight to the rails.

I set up ten yards to left of it. The bite was kind of slow. But with the right bait I guess you could get em'. This is my first one.

Later into the night I brought my third and last fish. Fought well.

Well the score was me at three. Friend at two. And the other friend at five one being a Crappie. Yeah he showed up later.


Did I mention that I went again today 12/24/2010 with the kids. Trying to get them to get into fishing.... Check them out.....

Cool deal that your friend helped you out on a free pass to fish SARL. Must have been a long day of trout fishing twice. Corona is gonna take a while to re-cooperate from the heavy rains. It doesn't sound like a good sales pitch when a lake employee says "you can't fish here". At least he didn't lie to you guys.

Yeah we should have left when he told us how bad it was going to be. He tried his best to convince to us to leave and almost succeeded..:LOL: Oh well. Maybe next time.:Cool:
