I was there today; it was very murky and slow. I did pull out a limit and so did my daughter, but i didnt see many people catching. The Sierra Bows have beautiful color though and fight pretty good. The deadly combo was the Orange Popsical (Orange Peel Trout Worm and a White Gulp Egg). No breeze today either. The fish were real close I was only casting out 8-10 feet with a 6" leader. It seemed wide open but im not sure what the other people were using by us as bait.

I started at the back by Levitz and then moved up by the dock. I threaded the worm and I hook the egg, that always works better for me.

Sounds like an upside down powermouse. It worked and caught fish. Way to go. Any size to the fish? Trying a different technique put him ahead of the competition there.

I like it better that way, I leave the point exposed on the hook, It works really good fished like that with a crawler also.

Very nice! Congrats on the double limits!
One technique you mentioned is so overlooked by almost everyone there who wears the helmet; 8-10 foot cast. Those fish are almost always right on the beach and a gentle lob puts you right into them. Half a blown-up nightcrawler fished in the same spot works well, as does a blown up mealworm (jumbo grub on a size 14 hook, single splitshot only as weight, takes a bit of practice.)
