I saw the lake this morning and it was not looking its best. Looks like half coffee, half cream. If you really have to fish, you could fish there. I know that there are livelihoods that will suffer from the condition, but I would not fish it in its current state. I'm going to give it a couple of weeks to clear up before I try it. There looked to ba a lot of floating stuff although that will probably be taken care of pretty quickly by the current and the patrol boat. No doubt there are a lot of trout at various locations up and down Santiago Creek in the City of Orange. Might want to try Hart Park before hitting up the lake.

Beware of floating telephone poles, trailers and trees......
The lake will be closed from rocky point acrossed to the west shore back to the dam....
:OMG!:

I wouldn't even try the salt right now. I heard it's pretty much soup, too. Golf sounds like fun. Or a casino for cards and beer.

NO, i fished the creek last time the lake overflowed. it was so wide open, but we got arrested on our way out for trust passing. there were no signs then, there are now! gl

tresspassing in irvine park ? Man I am so glad I left calif, next thing you know, you guys are gonna have anal cavity searches just to launch your boat.
As for fishing irvine in the rain or after storms - some of the best fishing the lake has to offer. Fish let their guard down with murky water, they are usually shallower, the cats are on the chew in the channel back in the flats, and the sturgeon actually " hit " better in this weather than anything else.
