LAGUNA NIGUEL LAKE STORM CONDITIONS REPORT
WEDNESDAY DEC. 22, 2010
The lake was stocked with 3,000lbs of trout on Tuesday December 14th. 1,200lbs of these fish were 3lb to 8lb hook jaws! 2 days after this huge stocking it started to rain. A lake record of 13,000lbs of trout has been stocked in the past 4 weeks!
The lake has been closed to fishing since Sunday due to heavy flooding and fallen trees in the park. We will re-open for fishing on Thursday December 23rd but will only allow float tubes and rental boats until the County deems shoreline safe.
(Typically takes 2 days for the shoreline to be deemed safe)
We will be offering all rental boats for $25 for 5 hours or $40 all day on Thursday and Friday of this week.
The water is ‘off color’ but there are a lot of trout in the lake that are very hungry! Easy limits will be on tap for fisherman using ‘extra’ scent on their baits!
TROUT STOCKING WILL RESUME ON WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 29TH
