Packed up the gear and headed out to Lake Skinner for some fishing with my Son and good friend Dodds. Got to the ramp#2 area around 7 or so. Weather was gorgeous(for us fisherman/women). Hoping to get some stockers or stripers, we set up the power mouse rigs and start working the mini jigs, lip ripperz, rapalas, rooster tails, super dupers, kastmasters, excels, seps, and anything else we can tie a knot on. Dale's micro light w/Daiwa 500 gets a work out near the weeds w/nice fatty stocker taken on a red super duper. My sons rod goes bendo right after that, and he lands a little schoolie, his PB stripey for the year-all 18 inches and a near 1.5lbs! Ya son! Dodds switched to a CD5 rainbow and gets another stocker, as for me full on skunk mode. Anyways it was nice to see the look on my sons face thinking he has a stocker bow but instead mr. stripey:)
