Hit Buena Vista Lake Saturday morning targeting some big trout.
Slung my mini jig….fished it REAL hard…
Started out landing 2 Crappie..
One real quality one about the size of my hand and the other much smaller..

It was tuff out there, didn’t see very many fish caught at all…
Then after a while, landed a quality trout about 2 ˝ lbs
Sorry for the phone pics, it was raining steady so I didn’t break out the regular camera…

Soaked some bait off and on but mainly stayed focused on slingin’ lures for the big fish..
Got 3 strikes on PB but it was hit n’ spit…
Relocated a few times chasin’ ‘em down….
Never ended up getting any more trout but managed to locate the crappies again..
landed 5 more, this was the smaller grade slabs..
Only took this last photo as it was POURIN’ Rain ! most of the time

No skunk for me but the rain sure made it pretty rough out there….

1 trout (bout 2 ˝ lbs)
7 crappie (lost 2)
Left about noon for a quick shot at the Aqueduct..
