[Double A]

not satisfied with the way yesterday went, i hit it again this AM

a little rain is not gonna stop me

conditions:

heavy mist / light rain

slight breeze... rather have light rain than wind. i hate the wind.

and there was a good flow

spot 1 after about 10 minutes of working up flow i had a follower. cool there's something swimming out there, and slightly interested. a few more casts, then changed up presentation on em... didn't work. continue up flow for about 1/4 mile for nada. on to spot 2.

spot 2 = fished it hard, real hard for nothing.

spot 3 = started working it down flow. after about 5 minutes i get hit. hellz yea! and as quick as he hit, he was gone :( but, it got my juices flowin. worked spot 3 real hard, walked it a looooong way trying to find something, anything, but it was not to be.

thinkin to myself that was a long hike, im starving !

ended up hitting 2 more spots... again, no one wanted to play in the rain.

sound like you came so close U could smell it...

way ta go geting out there regardless of conditions....those things all chalk up to success kharma...

almost on 'em....good try...u'll get 'em next outing : )

Double A, you're getting close. Next outing is going to be a duct catch report. Was the follower behind your lure or coming at it perpendicular? When perpendicular, they usually want to slam it but many times you run out of real estate (water) to keep working the lure and they turn.
