Bob's birthday bash mr stripey didnt like it,,,lol,,,

i had the day off and decided i had been away from castaic a little to long so i would do the recon trip. got to the lake to see the water level way up,launched and preceded to find the shad and the stripers on them but i couldnt get them to go. worked the c-point rolled over some stripey boils but i couldnt get the gear up in time to work it right.after a while i decided i had to work the deeper fish so i stopped the boat and got the downriggers going -BINGO-that was the deal ,i started working some point on the fish arm were i saw fish stacked and went to work pulled a limit ,only thing was they were all the same size 4 to 5 lb schoolies and one bass, that was ok because alot ot the other anglers were struggling, i ran into a couple guys i knew in a rental they had no fish so i gave them an early x-mas present i gave them seven i got three for tacos everybody was happy. it was a beautifull cool day, i also talked to john who runs the boat rentals he said they have constatly been moving water up and down and that does nothing but kill the bite,,,,,,,,,,,T/O,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Happy Birthday Bob! You truly do love to fish like what you told me, Jason and Erick. You truly are a master of your craft and we look forward to another trip with you to slay some stripies. You said you lived in Quartz Hill. I am currently staying in Lancaster so when you have time let a friend and client treat you to lunch or dinner sometimes. Let me know when it's goin and I'll book another trip with you. Isabella has some good days in the winter too when there is NO wind. We got on some stripies and 3 smallies at the mid the other day on flies. Everything was deep because I set my alarm for 5 PM instead of AM. Gettin old is hell.
