Been having the itch, finally got a little time this morning to see what i could do.

Conditions

slight wind
closed gates, no flow
no coffee = no brains

was in such a rush to get out there didn't want to wait for a pot of coffee so i grabbed my stuff out of a dark garage and hit the road...

get to 1st spot, grab my rod... and i brought my rod i use for fly-lining shad. that damn thing has 6lb floro on it. DAYAM!

ok, i can still hunt bear with a sling shot.

well, no bear. just skunks :(

spot 1 = nada
spot 2 = nada
spot 3 = you get the picture...

sorry bout the skunk, with 6lb test it's almost just as well though, thats bringing a knife to a gunfight !

But ya still fished it...I got a lot o respect for that....

DoubleA, Did you pound the pavement for them? If not then next time try to walk and cast under similar conditions? You have to search for them. They are there. Learn this early on and apply it. Don't just gate hop and limit yourself. Better luck next time.

yea, i did the walk n toss thing. with the "sling shot" i accidentally brought with me i wanted nothing to do with buoy ropes. i almost ran home to trade out rods, but just decided to hit a few spots anywayz. if its not pouring in the morning, i might hit it up again.
