New boat.

My son in law just got a new boat, very nice one. We want to take it out to lake Perris maybe next week for some fishing. What is the target fish for this time of year on a boat. I just have shore fished before,all new to us....Soory we are so lame about that..Hope you FNN people can help us out.:Big Grin:

Well this time of year everything but stocked trout slows down at LP, but fish can still be caught. Personally, I would fish for Bluegill or crappie. The Bluegills are down at about 30 feet right now. You need to fish slow and use live baits on tiny tube jigs. Waxworms or crickets. You know how I fish. What kind of boat did he get? Do you have a depth finder on it? Sounds like fun.

Thanks for the info guys. I don't know that much about the boat yet he just got it, but it's a V-6 and can hold 8 people.If I'am nice to him he might let me use it sometimes, I owe you a free Perris trip fishmouner. We might get him a depth finder for Christmas.
