Kind of a late report but I was having trouble getting the pics off my camera.
Had plans with Gavin310 to fish Corona Saturday morning. Also invited Bobber Boy (Team 57 poster child since he got his pic in WON). Gavin got to the lake at 1:30 AM to secure us a spot and was about 20th in line. I showed up around 5:00. John (Bobber Boy) and his wife, Cindy, showed up soon after. They let us in the gate and we set up just to the right of the boat launch.
It was a gorgeous morning on the lake.

Poor Gavin kept getting bite after bite after bite but the fish just wouldn't cooperate. John didn't have much better luck. The fish were focused in on my line I guess. :Big Grin: I saw people along the shore pulling in some pretty nice fish all day.
We didn't stay the entire day since we had a xmas party to get to, but I managed one more small trout and 2 blue gill.

Funny story about the small trout - No birds were harmed in the making of this bet - Bobber Boy learned that he should never make a money bet with me. When I brought in the small trout I realized he had completely swallowed the hook. We tried to be gentle pulling it out but let's just say all of his insides came out with my hook. John looked at me and said "I dare you to throw that out and see if you can catch anything"
Nachofish: Ok, let's see
Bobber Boy: Hey, I bet you $10 you can't hit that mud hen out there.
Nachofish: Oh yeah? You're on!
Gavin is just sitting quietly watching all this, probably thinking we are lunatics. I cast out and hit the tail feathers of the bird and it takes off. I know.....bird cruelty. After he got over his shock, John asked his wife for $10.00. I told John we would get together soon after the holidays, get a pontoon and he could supply the sandwiches.
Gavin - Thank you for inviting us fishing. You are a cool guy with yummy snacks and I will go fishing with you anytime.
John and Cindy - I had so much fun laughing with you guys all day. I'm sorry you didn't have better luck you're first time out there but we will do this again very soon - Mostly because I want my sandwich! John, let's talk soon about those ideas we came up with and make it happen.
Thank you Craig for stopping by and chatting. Always good talking with you.
Next time.....my DD trout!
