Hit Bako Friday late night into sat morn…
SOLO MISSION !
I was looking for my revenge from earlier the last week when I kept losing feesh and landed only one…
Took about 30 minutes but soon enuff I wuz experiencing/….
BENDO !
LOST EM’ ! (uhhh-ohh-don’t wanna start out like that again !)
Off to another spot…
After a little diligent pounding.. #1 falls to my shallow attack…on my lipless crank
No skunk for me !

Nothing more for a while……
POUNDED many zones….
DROVE many miles …..
Then found where they were….
HookuP ~ But too much slack in my hooset : ( I had cast completely across the duct near the other shore !
Lost ‘em…!
Tried a different angle with a better chance after going to my truck and driving to the other side of the duct !

Ahhhh my lucky craft damage is done : )
A few more casts produced 1 more hookup but that sucka managed to do the duct rock n’ roll and shake off : (
Off to 2 more spots….kiss and miss…
Nothing…
Like I said…I traveled a huge amount of miles and the fish were scattered out……
The next spot was way out in the boonies and was confusing to get to and real rough road but I managed….
The sun was coming up and it was another one of those sweet memorable moments…

Fished the spot hard and it realy looked and felt fishy but no hookups….
Just ready to leave and got SLAMMED right near my feet..
That sucka was Hott !

All the fish I had landed thus far were nice and yoked…real girthy units..
and I moved on
Kiss and miss…kiss and miss..
THEN it happened…
It’s never happened before to me with Stripers but it has with LMB before a few times…
I was working the LC…
Saw that sucka swat and flash an miss it…
He did a dohnut around and then BOILED ! on the lure (again never had ‘em do that either) but missed it again !
I casted out again in the same zone and…
WHAM !
Fish ON ~
Peelin drag as I battled, I watched as another fish about the same size tried to snach the lure from the hooked fish..
AND…..
DOUBLE HOOKuP~
I battled it HARD !
but not for that long before the 2nd fish torqued out the hooks…
bent 1 shank and broke off another !
the 1st fish stayed on but bent 1 of the shanks on the #2 owner I had on the lure (I modify my lures with larger hooks)

Low flow and getting hott..
But I still scratched 1 last one for the road on a fluke

Good times….a whole lot of driving and a whole lost of casts but that’s what duct fishing is about…hard work but when it’s payday it’s even sweeter due to the labor..
