Still cant find a pluton for the life of me, so ive resorted to a WTB ad.
Looking for a Daiwa Pluton, new, old, righty, lefty, fast, slow. Doesnt matter, i just want a pluton.
PM me an offer. I have cash, or i have nice phenix rods/cumara/curados/tackle i could trade if youre looking for a trade.

well, I have 2 plans of attack on how to get new ones for either 357 or 313 depending on who will price match for me or not.
I've got a few offers over on BD from shop owners, but for some reason everyone has these reels marked up over the 369.99 MSRP.

You should have just bought it new durring Tackle Warehouse's 20% off Black Friday sale last month. They price match there as well as long as they can verify the other seller's price.

Yea but they also charge tax, that $389 reel with 20% off + 9.75% tax comes out to $338.03.
Plus, other sites had way better deals going than TW did. BTD had 21% off and free gifts depending on how much you spent.
but i didnt have the money back then anyway =/

diawa raised their price to $420 i bought one for $369 2 months ago. I went back and they were $420. i bought a used one here 3 weeks ago.

tons of places sell them for under $420 right now. I've only seen a few places with them listed at 420.
I was honestly thinking about selling my LH Ryoga, but I decided to keep it. Anyone know if there is a difference interms of components between the Ryoga and the Pluton.

Internally theyre the same minus some tiny tweaks which ive heard about but havnt seen personally. I know the drag stack is bigger in the ryoga, 4 disc i believe.
But many parts interchange. Ryogas also have a tiny bit more netshape machining and they have laser etching on the gear box where the pluton doesnt.
In other news. I FOUND A F#(*#$(@IN PLUTON. Picking it up monday.
