Irvine Lake 12/5/10

I typically shore fish Irvine Lake with either my kids or students that I teach at the high school I work at. Yesterday I wanted to catch my first freshwater fish on the troll.

To keep it short:

1) It was a beautiful day with very little wind
2) It wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be
3) I tried braid on light line for the first time (not sure if I like it or not)
4) I kayaked in the rain for the first time
5) I caught a 3lb trout on the troll
