Whats a good set up with with the trout worms? Does using 2lb test line instead of 4lb make a really big diffrence?

I use trout worms 3 diffrent ways.

1. I thread the worm onto a 1/32oz jig head.(make sure its very straight.)
2.Split shot! Put a small splitshot the run a 2-3ft leader depending on the day then a size 10 owner hook.
3.Drop shot! i use that on slow days, size 10 owner.

and in my opinion i think 2lb makes a pretty big diffrence. 1.the fish cant see it as much and 2. its alot funner to play the fish out longer.
if u need more info shoot me a PM.

and as well as casting further out when the trout are further out .. . or use a bobber thats what was working at the derby

yellow is the hot color for me sometimes so hard finding straight worms at the local tackle shop but then again thats why we have micro waves cook em enough to fix em and more action that way

Not sure that if you boil them it will help them float. It will help them soften up and even straighten out if you have some that are bent.

I'm curious about the Lip Ripper worms. Though I read quite a bit by fans online, I can't say that I've actually encountered anyone I know who use it. For some reason, all the buddies I know use Powerworms. I'm curious if there's a sense of ratio between Lip Ripper worms and Powerworm users out there. My fav in Powerworm would be orange peel.
