Fishing is still really good out here at the lake. Guys trolling plugs and spoons from the boats continue to pound the fish while the shore guys are getting them pretty good as well. The fish are defintley keyed in on the shad with the clearer water so anglers proficient at mini jigging, casting plugs/spoons or trolling are having the most success. As for the bait the rainbow garlic gulp dough and the garlic dough are doing very well. If you choose to fish a nightcrawler guys are having success with a gulp egg in front of the garden hackle.

The Compton Hunt and Fish club held a little shin dig for their little anglers and scored some red hot action in the lagoon. The lagoon fish where defintley hungry for the garlic powerbait and the nightcrawler.

The lake will host the 2nd qualifier for the Master Invitational on December 18th and 19th. This is the Xmas Holiday Tournament and we will be putting in some trophy sized fish for this event. Be prepared because Santa might be visiting a little early this year with BIG BIG trout as the present.
