View Full Version : Silverwood lake hours change
As of today till April Silverwood Lake's hours have been changed. They will be closing at 5:00pm I believe still opening at 7:00am.
Although I can find nothing on the Internet yet, I would assume this will affect other State Parks also (Perris?). I was told that they will not be doing the 2 days a week closing though.

Do you have other places to get your fix?
Perris is still open from 6am to 8pm. They even added "Lake Hours" for boating from 6am to 6:30 pm. No more off the water at sunset.

Is that as of today? The word just came down. Last year Perris was in the same boat as Silverwood with the lake hour changes.

The new hours started Nov 7th but I'm gonna keep a eye out for new changes.

The word came down today and was a surprise to the workers, that's all I know.
But after reviewing Perris hours, I wish I lived closer and hope the hours remain the same for you guys. Nice to be able to fish past sunset in the water, I'm jealous!!!!!
It seems Perris may have been spared, lucky guys!!! After reviewing the Sate Parks website Perris does not have a note indicating a change in hours like Silverwood does now.
Great for Perris, bummer for the Wood!

SILVERWOOD LAKE • Investigators shut down highways 138 and 173 Friday morning to investigate a homicide, according to the California Highway Patrol website.
The area was shut down at about 7:30 a.m. and remained closed as of 10:35 a.m.
No information about the victim has been released.

SILVERWOOD LAKE • Investigators shut down highways 138 and 173 Friday morning to investigate a homicide, according to the California Highway Patrol website.
The area was shut down at about 7:30 a.m. and remained closed as of 10:35 a.m.
No information about the victim has been released.
They had a big search and rescue team out there Saturday at the 138/173 cutoff. At least 6 trucks and a bunch of guys with backpacks on that looked pretty serious. I think I drove by the area the body was found on Thursday just before they closed it down. Lot's of activity up there last couple of days, Lake Arrowhead Rd just past Hesperia Lake was closed down yesterday afternoon, I had to turn around and go back. Hopefully today will be quieter!!
