Big Bear Area

I am planning on taking my kids to the snow in the Big Bear area. However, I only know of the resorts for skiing and snowboarding. Can someone please tell me where I can take the kids up there to do some sledding and goofing around in the snow? I know of the Ridge Resort for tubing but do not want to pay the $25 per head.

get you some tube's and go on the back side of big bear off hwy 38 go to jenk's lake cut off the room to play and be away form the poeple in big bear
