Diamond Valley or Irvine This Wednesday

Debating if i should take my boat out to Irvine this wednesday or rent a boat out of DV. I've got Irvine dialed in pretty good for trout and hate to give it up, but the prospect of catching a big striper seems too inticing. I just hope the stripers will cooperate. Haven't heard too much lately in the way of Striper fishing with the water cooling off and 'turning over' and I've got a mediocre batting average at DVL to boot so then I think about driving on Santiago Canyon Road.
Any snippets of information or encouragement of which way to go would be valued and much appreciated.

I would roll the dice ( like in your avatar) and go for the Big Striper. I LOVE trout fishing but I would rather catch one GIANT striper than 20 trout. My own opinion.

Yeah, I'm going to try DV. Did what all fool hardy fisherman do, I ran out and bought a $35 BBZ tonight.
