Question: So how do you know that the Team57 guys are getting together?
Answer: It is raining of course!

The weather never seems to dampen the good time we all have though, as the 20+ anglers who braved the elements can attest to. I know a few of you couldn't make it out for various reason and you were definitely missed, but there will always be a next time!

The weekend started Friday evening as a handful of us enjoyed a campfire under the stars and we awoke to a slight drizzle that would increase to a downpour and then stop altogether throughout the day....

Bebop helping setup shop with the the cool banner NoHoArt hooked us up with!

With the weather like it was roads to adjacent parts of the lake were wisely closed and although the Irvine staff shuttled anglers to various parts of the lake, most of us opted to fish up front to enjoy the easy up or shelter of nearby our vehicles during the downpours.

Darryl and The Killa Bite-On Taco took to the tubes and did very well out there....wtg!

After wringing himself out, Rooster joined us for some laughs....check out the OG tackle box. Rob it was great to see you laughing so hard at our stupid jokes, hope to fish with you again very soon.

Okay here are a couple of shots when things stared to "open up"

JAWS?

Mav and Don Spencer chuckin and windin for bass in the rain.....DIE HARDS!!!!http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj285/troutdog_photobucket/TurkeyBowlIII017.jpg

Although the fishing was tough up front for those of us who shore fished most of the time, the guys who braved the storm by boat trolled up some solid results....Taper"Troller"Steve has been on a tear since VIP day, I predict that he is the next Team57 member to get a DD at the Vine! Nice bows and kicker slab Steve.

Sloooooowly lunch was immersed into the hot oil....
http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj285/troutdog_photobucket/TurkeyBowlIII035.jpg

Meanwhile Chef Killa manned the grill and cooked up some carne asada and sausages while we snacked on the amazing civiche Senor Chillax prepared
http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj285/troutdog_photobucket/TurkeyBowlIII036.jpg

Good stuff!
http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj285/troutdog_photobucket/TurkeyBowlIII042.jpg

So BobberBoy did you have fun today? Thank you for the pulled pork sandwiches, they were off the hook dude...you are a heck of cook brotha!

Although I wore the big stripe down my back, I had a great time on Saturday and can't wait to get together with all the cool people that enjoy FNN and the Team57 spirit. Thanks again to all of you who made it out, brought food to share, made the raffle a success and the Irvine staff for putting up with us

Thanks for reading and I'll see you on the water!

Report of the month for sure dude!!! I forgot how much I missed hanging with my 57 family since last season and migrating to badd more and more. Just proves, its the company and not so much the fishing. Thanks for all of your effort TD, my hat's off to you my Brother!! Ya gotta love the smile on Rob's face with that new custom rod!!! nice report TD it seemed like every time steve's and i spirits got low and to the point we were about to call it and head in the fish god's would bless us with a hook up and give us the strength to push through the blinding rain, gale force winds and arctic cold for a little while longer.

the lunch was awesome and not just the food. conversation, jokes and laughs were had by all it was the best way to cap off a day that would test any anglers commitment to the cause.

o i brought the lil tackle box of goodies. i dint make it a point to announce i brought it i thought that would kinda defeat the purpose of giving if i was to look for praise for doing so. so dont say sorry for not knowing who gave that.

Great report TD!!! Tommy and I had a blast out there even though we totally forgot our rain gear because we were so excited to get to camp! This teaches me a lesson to not wear tennis shoes and jeans to a WET fishing event! Thank you once again to all that made this happen! Oh and Big thanks to Donna and Wingnut, I now have another new team 57 shirt!!! I can't wait to break in my new rod courtesy of Rooster!!

It doesn't get any better in my eyes, I have not had such a great time in years. Thanks so much Hitts & TD for making this event happen rain or shine. The rod is the nicest rod i have ever owned and will be tresured for many many years. Thanks Mav for everything from the funtimes in the rain to the unforgetable gift. Bebop that rod is simply sick. I love it. Thanks for donating such a sweet rod. It was great meeting some new to me members.

I got a kick everytime I heard someone say, "yeah well me and Thisfool..." or "Thisfool and I used such and such". CLASSIC screen name! I'm glad you said something about the tackle box though. I understand you are not looking for praise or recognition, but it gives us a chance to simply say thank you for helping make the raffle that much better. Great having you at the events and I look forward to fishing with you in the future!
