Seen this Durajet on Ebay

2. 65-75% efficient in HP, speed and fuel consumption.

New Yamaha Gear case + Installed DURAJET + Imron Acrylic Enamel.
(ENGINE IS NOT INCLUDED)

See PREMIERENGINES store for complete engines with DURAJET.
This engine is available long or short in our store.

Will fit 1989 - 2009 YAMAHA 2 stroke- 2 Cyl. engines.

What is DURAJET?

1. A safety device that has been in use with the US military and first responders since 1991.
2. Utilizes 95-100% of engines HP.
3. Produces 10-15% more torque
4. Provides operator better performance in terms of hole shot (50% faster),
tighter turns, no ventilation on turns.
5. Reduces the cost of maintenance (we have sold about 3-4 DJ rotors in 18 years
VS around 1000 regular propellers!)
6. Better confidence while backing up.
7. Less likely to foul. If you do, just reverse the pump.
8. Has factory gears (F-N-R)
9. 5-10% in speed loss expected.
10. If you operate in rocking shallow water, DuraJet is not for you.
Soft and sandy bottoms- okay.
11. Works on any type of boat without a jack plate; Vee , Catamaran, Round or Flat bottom.
12. Works on long or short shaft engines.

If this product did not work, the USMC and hundreds of first responders all over the world
would not risk their lives using it!

SOME DURAJET USERS:

USMC
USN
USA
FDNY
FBI
FEMA
BRITISH ROYAL NAVY
US GEOLOGICAL SURVEY
NASA
PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE
AUSTRALIAN NAVY

What DURAJET is not:

1. A low water device
2. Inefficient and rob engine of HP, or high percent of efficiency.

The competitors jet:

1. A low water device (6-12")
2. 65-75% efficient in HP, speed and fuel consumption.
3. If you foul, you're dead in the water, cannot be dis-assembled in the field.
4. Has a bucket that drops for neutral and reverse.
5. Only works on flat bottom boats.
6. Some boats require a jack plate for proper height.

You would need a 3 cylinder 40 to give you the performance of the same
as our DuraJet on a 25 HP engine.

Ive seen em. They are used for very very shallow running. US SPECOPS use them so they dont have to worry about prop failure in remote areas and shallow work. Very expensive conversions though. They are just like jet skis when your done. Fairly useless for what we do here in Cali...except maybe the Delta I guess

I've seen em in person and a lot on B.A.S.S.. like maverick says, made for shallow water, tidal waters and brush. Usually paired with aluminums. Other than the novelty, no need here in ca lakes

The Dura-jets are used primarily in dive boats for the safety of the divers in the water when a boat needs to be under power. You don't have a pic of one, the pictures you show are jets from specialty marine/outboard jets http://www.outboardjets.com/index.php http://www.jetdoctor.net/mfg/index.php?mfg=Outboard%20Jets The only need for one of these is for shallow water rivers like the Colorado27510275112751027511 pics of my north river will run 8" of water

Yeah usually those jets are lower HP then prop and use up way more fuel.

Pretty common up in Alaska..Need 20% more HP to turn the pump..

That sound about right. Thy are less efficient because They use a much smaller column of water to move the boat. That means the water column has to move proportionally faster = less efficient.

actually more closer to 30% lost, mine Yamaha is rated 150hp at the head and 105hp out the pump and yep it sucks up the gas but I love my boat for what can due in shallow water and not the worry of taking a prop out on a tree stump or rock pile, If I were to do much lake fishing its a simple 1 hour swap back to a standard geared/prop lower unit.2771527714
