Hey Guys,

My dad and I plan to take a trip down to NPH this weekend, to fish off the Public Docks for Rays and Sharks. I was wondering what dock would be best for the SP. we are targeting?

My set up will be
Real: Sealine 600H with 300 Yards of 80lb Braided Test Top Shot with 370 Yards of 40lb P-line.
Rod: 6'6'' Heavy duty tuna rod or a 9ft Med/Heavy duty Rod.

Not sure what my dad will be using.

Try the M-street dock. Beware of speeding coast-guard members. Those wakes can toss you around.

make sure all your belongings are secured. I've caught some nice leos from this place.

Thanks!
I forgot to add, I am using a 2ft 90lb braded Wire Leader with a 2' wire (Same Kind) Coming off the main wire with the weight. We plan to go to king Harbor Before NPH to Catch some Bonito for fresh bait.

Newport city voted a month or so ago on closing fishing on most of the public docks in NPH. But I'm not sure when or if the ruling has gone into effect. From what I've read the only ones that will remain open to fishing are M St. and Opal St.???

I'm sick of this anti-fishing agenda

I also Read from an older thread on FNN that these docks are only open from 0600 to 2200. Is this ture?
