Went out again today. Rain and wind was in the forecast. Yes I checked but my buddy wanted to go really bad after he saw the catch me and TM65 had on Friday. So we get to the lake around four thirty-ish and was the fifth care in line. I guess not a lot of peeps wanted to be out there in the rain and wind....lol
We were let in at five thirty am. We drove in and made that right turn to get to the point behind the tackle shop area. We were the first peeps there so anywhere we could've set up. Well at this time it was still dark and you couldn't really see much so we had our head lights on so we could tie hooks, weighs, and what not. Lines were in the water before light made it's way to join us. Ofcourse I was the first to hook up. Bait I used was half a night crawler dipped in garlic sauce. Nice two pounder I estimated. A little while later I get hit again and brought the second fish in. Almost the same size.
Now it was my buddy's turn to hook up. Nice trout. He used power bait in the green color also dipped in the garlic sauce. Then we took turns bringing fish in and at the same missing a bunch of bites. Ended up with eight between the both of us by eleven o'clock in the am. That's the time when the bite went dead. Called it a day and left by noon... By the way, the bite seem to be on while it was raining. After the sun came out it went-disappeared.
Well we left the lake content. Just another day slaying Trout. But I bet my buddy would have been upset though if we got skunked being that we got all wet and such.
Good times though. I won't complain. I've had my bad days in great weather so this was better by all measures.....
Thanks for reading. I'll add one of the Trout that had roe in em' later or in a few.... peace......
Here is the roe shot.
