This is the set up I mostly use . I use the fine wire hooks . You also use a Night crawler just like the plastic with either power bait or a power egg.

I've been using this technique for a long time with the addition of dipping it in different scents and never knew what it was called. thanks.

i guess that brings me to a question... who has had the best luck on what color combos? or all the same of 1 color?

ive use P.M. rig many times works about the same as multiple powerbait balls.. put powerbait on the treble "doesnt have to be enough to float the hook... get another flavor/color make a ball a lil smaller then first and form it around the line then slide it down to the eye of the hook... should float if not add another ball... i usually use older not so soft bait for the tip balls they hold the line better and generally float better due to the lack of moisture in it..... i get more hits and hookups on this rather then just a big ball of powerbait.. onelittle nibble usually robs my single ball of bait

Contrasting colors have worked best for me. example orange worm with red or yellow pb...

yup thats the way. i had good luck last year with a white worm and pink power egg and also a chartreuse worm and white egg.

i think i did better with those two color combos because obviously those colors have a great contrast to them and the two different colors are very visible when under water.

an "owners" size 12 mosquito hook is what you want to use if you use the power egg and power worm combo. that hook is a thin wire hook it is much lighter then most other hooks and the power egg and worm do not float the thicker heavier hooks.

if your going to use power bait and a power worm just use the normal treble hook that you would use with power bait basically a 12 or 14

White PB, Rainbow, or Garlic PB with a flo pink or Orange worm. The Lip Ripperz worms work good as well.....

never really knew how to set this bait up? so do u completely cover the worm with the PB when just using a single hook?

Is there a " scientific" way on what colors pb 2 use depending wether water is clear or murky??.....or simply try every color,, flavor till u find da flavor of da day

Don't you mean a 16-18 treble? 12-14 is a little too big for local bait and wait fishing....
