Hit up Big Bear today, north shore near the dam. smallest fish 1.5lb, and only one under 2lb. Using powerbait (corn & garlic) and Ncrawlers & Gulp chartreuse worms. Biggest 2.5 with a mean hook jaw and very well developed teeth, pulled like a much larger fish. Consistent action of 2lb+ fish all with full tails. Water was 42 degrees and the fish were feisty. Lost a few in the weeds though. Used to like Irvine, but bite has been slow for shore fishing - water still too warm. This lake rocks, and I don't have to get up so early to get a good spot!!! And it's free - but no breakfast burritos :(
