Went out of Long Beach Marina sportfishin today for the afternoon pm trip.
It was windy and the water temp had dropped a bit so we went out in search of sculpins the whole time. The sculpin needed a couple move but went wide open. Sculpin every cast. I caught like 15-20 sculpins kept my 5 limit. I caught a toad sculpin that looked around 4-5 pounds that took the jackpot. Great day fishing and great weather except the wind.

Hi Riverjoon,

Nice prickly pesca! That's a huge sculpin!! Was the area on the fishys' side sort of a mottled greyish color between the caudal fins and the tail?

thanks,

Yes i think it was. The scuplin looked like a prehistoric creature.

This sculpin actually gave me a little fight on the 15 pound test.
