Did the annual fall brown hunt. Backpacked into the western sierras and fished a few different lakes and creeks.
The fish were not very picky...muddler minows, punk perch, mickey finn & big stimmies. Definitely my favorite time of year.

WOW !! Awsome stuff .. Great pics and man,, those Browns are insane .. Good job on your quest in the west sierras..
So many places there that rival and even are better than the east waters. Best thing is , those areas are not as easy to get to as the east side. Great job Sir..

The Western side is incredible this time of year. We pack into several of the lakes and a fork of a river that is beyond description. Very nice fish and wonderful photography.

I was waiting for the one brown to swim off with your rig. It looked like he was thinkin hmmm this guy is takin pics after kickin my butt ima going to take his gear LOL. Great pics and looks like a very awesome time in mother natures house.

I've said this before and I'll say it again..

Your flyrod report brings me back to my teen years when I really dilligently flyfished and did my own tying...

those were some good years...one of these days I'll have to revisit my old flyfishing roots...
