Beginner question... Do any rules change when night fishing for trout? As in, are some baits better than others since the visual aspect doesn't play as much of a part? Is trout fishing at night even very productive? I can only go at night due to work, which isn't so bad actually. Last two times I've had the lake nearly to myself, but I've only got one fish to show for it.

Oh, and by night fishing I'm referring to the 5:00-11:00 pm sessions.

The night fishing for trout has been tough for the past couple of seasons. Use a bunch of scent. I've also had good luck with the glow in the dark nitro worms and grease. Try the bubble hole or flat spot in the back of chris's pond. Change up your leader length or cast distance if you don't get bit within 30 minutes. Sometimes the trout at SARL hang really close to shore.

I try to fish without a fire or light. Just glow sticks until I need to take a fish off the hook. Some may disagree, but I think that it makes a difference.
