Beautiful weather (upper 50's) ... until winds came up at about 1 pm. Got one very pretty rainbow from shore on a NC-Rainbow Power Egg. Had 4-5 very strong hits (no nibbling) that bent the rod about 12-18 inches ... but then gone. Seems kinda unusual ... can't believe they just spit the hook ... after such a strong bite.
2 passing fishermen said that there was a guy who caught a 5 and 6 lb. brown down by the dam. I may have been in the wrong place ... I was at the launch area near the old launch area ... sometimes called the "bath tub" I believe.
Guess it'll have to be next year for me. Maybe I'll hit Lower Twin Monday before the curtain call.
