Didn't get a chance to make it out Tuesday, so I pulled it together for Thursday. Been working some long nights lately and haven't seen my wife in a long time, so I made sure she knew where I was so she could meet me when she finished work. I pulled in and got some crawlers for bait. Got myself set up near the bubble hole. Not right at it, just a little bit down from it. Put an inflated crawler on one pole and some garlic power bait on another. Set up some chairs and cracked open a beer. Look out across the water to a great sunset, and watched a couple of the birds diving for fish. My wife showed up after work and she sat down next to me. We started a fire, and sat watching the flames for a while, and just talked. It was a beautiful night out. Damn, life is good.
Oh the fishing? Not a bite until 10:00, then this guy decided to volunteer to be on my dinner plate:

Sorry about the crummy quality. He was about 2 lbs I think. Hit the garlic power bait.
