Headed out to Seccombe for the first time this morning. Got there at 7:00.. walked up tot he water saw enough trash in there than a local dump...said forget this and headed to Silverwood.
Was me my dad and my brother. Payed the $3 and fished from the boat docks...
Tried some lures but nothing.
Tried some jigs but nothing.
Brother landed a nice kitty on M&M combo...
Dad got 2 bluegill on NC
I managed a 2 inch sculpin.

We got kicked off the docks when they closed it at 3:00pm... (sucks...)
Hit the beach on the left side of the docks. 30 mins of bait and wait and dad hooked a fish on NC... Fish was about 5 feet from shore and it broke off... I jumped in, in an attempt to catch it but it was gone ..(forgot the net at home).. It was a nice kitty, had to be DD....This things head was as huge as mine..

Had a bunch of bites on NC throughout the day. Nothing touched anchovies. Nothing touched powerbait. Nothing on power worms either.

Water is still low but it's nice and cold for the trouts...

Many sculpin are exclusively freshwater fish.

They require good water quality, so their presence is a good thing.

I didnt know that.Thought they were only saltwater fish from catching them on cattleboats out of Redondo, etc.Learn something new every day. Thanks
