Decided to hit up Pyramid and check and see if I wanted to run some trips up there while the weathrs nice and since Castaic Lake got 10 feet of water added to it in 3 days and sent the fish to areas unknown.
We were the 3rd boat in the water and the stripers were busting at the launch ramp first thing.
Water level was full pool.
Good weather, got down right warm today, wind came up a little but thats Pyramid.
Since today was a recon, spent time looking around, the shad were no where, but the silersides were thick and big and everywere.
The key to the stripers was to find marks like these, this is a file photo, but they allways look like this when you run into the WALL of stripers. http://i498.photobucket.com/albums/rr349/sddave50/1c2928d0.jpg We ended up with about 16 schooly fish today, and this guy was mixed in with the jailbirds,

Thanks for the report Dave.

It's very helpful. I've got a friend who I need to put on fish this coming Friday.
