I bought a 7 foot medium fast taper v rod today. I cant find much information on line so i dont know if i got a good deal or not. It says made in Washington state on the bottom. Can you guys give me a little history, or some info about this rod and what fair market value is on this rod. thanks.

This rod was discontinued in the late 90's if i can remember. These were the very best from shimano at the time. They had very nice actions and quite sensitive too. These rods are not easy to come by anymore. If you have one in good condition i'd say that it would be worth around 80-100. these blanks were made by loomis personel from what i've heard similiar to the older calcutta inshore rods. they are excellent rods.
