Any suggestions for Convict or Intake 2?

Going to the Coliseum for the big game Saturday ... will hit Intake 2 on Thursday late and Friday a.m.
Will hit Convict on the return trip Monday afternoona and Tuesday a.m. (have a boat rented)

Any and all tips are welcomed !!

I use to rent a boat and go all the way to the intake,get on the sand and kill trout all
day long with gold kastmaster,however this summer i was told that you cant pull the boat
on the shore,need to be 20 feet away.and at times if you are in the boat is hard to stay on the
right spot,becouse of the wind.
2lbs test was the best at that time..

Hey Billy...this time of year at Convict...just before you get to the inlet, there's a cluster of large rocks about 8 to 12 feet under the surface off the south shore where some big fish commonly hang out. Throw your anchor about 30feet away and cast into the rocks allowing your lure or bait to bounce off the rocks as you reel in slow. I guarantee you you'll nail 'em.
