Got out there today with a neighbor from 8-2. Cloudy and calm. Ran to the NE corner for a lot of boils, no takers. Cruised around the whole lake from 9-11 with no visible boils. Worked some scroungers, krocodiles, and shad swimbaits for nothing. Went back to the NE corner, still boiling, no takers, too locked in on shad. Should have went for the bigger models a little deeper - but when they are boiling all around the boat, hard to leave.
Have to give props to Matt of Last Chance Bait and Tackle for the info - just didn't use it quite right (got too hung up on the boilers). Met the owner of Last Chance as we pulled out at 2 - great to meet him - gave us more great advice. Will give it a go next week - more info...hopefully more fish. Only landed one LMB and one big bluegill, lost several on the hookup. Tough Love. Thanks to all those who PMed. We will keep at it. Only get better with on the water practice! D
